Our Beginnings

Born from a real community need.

Twins Forum was established in 2008 following a series of consultative meetings with groups of single mothers raising quadruplets in Kiboga District.

A Registered non-governmental organisation ( Registration Number: WCBO/26/319 ) founded by Babirye Barbara M and Nakato Brenda M, established in August 2008 after consultative meetings with single mothers of quadruplets in Kiboga District. During these consultations, we identified an abandoned single mother of quadruplets living in Bukomero Village under extremely difficult conditions. She lacked access to basic necessities, support systems, and opportunities for survival.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Twins Forum partnered with Bukedde Television and Vision Group to mobilize resources and public support. Through these collaborative efforts, the family received much-needed assistance and hope for a better future.

This intervention inspired the establishment of Twins Forum as an organization dedicated to advocating for vulnerable twins, triplets, quadruplets, and other multiple births throughout Uganda.

Today, the organization continues to support vulnerable families through partnerships, community engagement, resource mobilization, and empowerment programmes.
